A completely new era in cycling heralded the first Salzburg City Hill Climb in autumn 2021.
\nWith the innovative format, the Hohensalzburg Fortress became the scene of what is probably the most spectacular cycling race in Austria.
\nThe route up to Hohensalzburg Fortress has the perfect characteristics for the new format in cycling, the “City Hill Climb”.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

With the \u201cCity Hill Climb\u201d we want to bring cycling closer to the audience and the media through exciting competitions. During these city mountain sprints, cyclists can achieve maximum performance over short distances. Additional excitement is created by a new competition mode for road cycling. In the elimination races, the fastest can qualify for the next round. The result is a tournament character that harbors great tension. The entertainment and closeness to the sport are the additional bonus for the audience, who can follow the race in different areas. The event is open to professionals, amateurs, hobby cyclists and pupils, youth and juniors!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
