CITY SPRINT
The 1st City Sprint at Kapitelplatz in Salzburg
“Cycling in the City” is a new concept in cycling for kids and youth in cities (towns) that have a main square or a suitable area near the center.
With “Cycling in the City” we want to arouse interest in cycling among kids and youth.
Diversity and proximity to the sport are the additional bonuses for the audience, who can follow the race from different areas.
As part of the City Hill Climb in Salzburg, the new event “Cycling in the City” with the City Sprint on Kapitelplatz in Salzburg will be presented in the pre-program.

The starting numbers will be handed out from 11:30 p.m. at Kapitelplatz!
Helmet obligation for all categories
Timing: electronically with a transponder.
Venue Mode: Elimination race 8-10 participants start per heat, first 4 to 5 (50%) go to the next heat. All categories start twice, after that the final takes place.
Route length: 100 m, width around 10-12 m, sufficient space to run out.
Process: At 1:00 p.m. the City Sprint starts with the tricycle category
Award ceremony: is planned in the finish area at 2:30 p.m.

- Children with tricycles up to 4 years (mixed)
- Children with balance bikes up to 4 years (mixed)
- Children with bikes 5-6 years (mixed)
- Children with bikes 7-8 years (mixed)
- Pupils with bicycles 9-10 years (separately)
- Pupils with bicycles 11-12 years (separately)
Organization: The City Sprint is organized by the Hill Climb cycling club. Coordination is carried out by the organization management in cooperation with the Bikefriends cycling club and the LRV (state cycling association).
